
GDPR, or The General Data Protection Regulation, comes into effect on May 25th 2018 and is intended to enhance the privacy of data pertaining to identifiable persons.
This regulation will affect any business which interacts with EU citizens or has EU employees. All sizes of organisation will be affected. The certification covers computer-based and other storage and retrieval mechanisms. The course not only encourages awareness and accountability but also provides substantiation that individuals and organisations have taken responsibility for their data privacy by providing the accreditation necessary.
GDPR - Making Data Privacy Matter - Qualification
This course is designed for any individuals from any size organisation who wish to ensure they, and their organisation, are aware of the privacy of data in their care. This may include help desk and customer-facing staff, sales and marketing departments, HR/Personnel departments and senior management.

Accredited e-Learning: GDPR Passport is accredited e-Learning for APMG's GDPR Awareness qualification. It aims to help improve your organisations use of personal data and realise value from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It also provides you with a straightforward (self-paced) route to becoming an GDPR Awareness certified. This e-Learning package is available as web based online access. There are no pre-requisites for this product, although experience in a business environment would be beneficial.

How long should I study for?
We would suggest that the course can be completed in 10 hours of study. This study will be a mixture of computer-based training using the e-Learning, reference to the guidance and other support documents and completion of the Practical Tasks and Tests. Depending on other commitments, you will require anything from 2 days to 6 months to complete this learning.
Purchasing this product provides you with a license to use GDPR Passport for a period of 6 months from the date of purchase. During this period the product is supported to ensure that the content is consistent with the method syllabus. The e-Learning and Exams (if any) are valid for 6 months from the date of the initial purchase.
If you find that time passes by more quickly than you thought, then you can extend the license and exam time as follows:
a) 30-day License Extension - £49 + VAT
b) 6-month License Extension - £99 + VAT
c) 12-month License Extension - £149 + VAT
It is advisable to identify a date for completion of the self study to help focus on completion. 3 weeks notice applicable to arrange the exam. Failure to attend your confirmed exam event may result in transfer charges being applied (see Terms & Conditions).

Online Awarness Exam

- - 20 questions per paper
- - 10 marks or more are required to pass (out of 20 available) – 50%
- - 20 minute duration

Take your exam online! This exam option is available using your own webcam and microphone (Valid ID required) and allows you to take the exam in the comfort of your own home at a convenient time without the need for a physical invigilator.
Please note a minimum of 3 weeks notice is normally applicable to arrange online exams.
